Dr. Adena Johnston, MCEC
President and Principal Consultant
Dr. Adena Johnston brings over two decades of corporate experience in operations, talent management and executive coaching. Her strength is bridging her business acumen with her deep knowledge of organizational dynamics to provide insight and actionable strategies for clients. Adena is known for her candid and supportive approach, her attention to career mobility, and as an executive coach to the C-Suite and emerging leaders.
Throughout her career, Adena has been involved in start-ups and turn-arounds, championed employee engagement and change initiatives, and helped organizations focus on cultural competency and thinking in systems. She most recently served as the Vice President and Practice Leader for Talent Development with CCI Consulting. Experienced in high and low level operations, Adena was "in the seat" in her corporate career where she served as the regional president of DeVry University’s Pennsylvania’s campuses with full P&L responsibility, led the strategic plan, and interfaced across the enterprise.
Adena holds a doctorate in Management with a focus on strategic leadership and organizational complexity. She is a Master Certified Executive Coach and an active member of the Forbes Coaches Council, the Association for Corporate Executive Coaches (ACEC) and its MEECO Leadership Institute, International Coach Federation (ICF) of Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Society for People and Strategy (PSPS).
A passionate educator, Adena is a Duke CE Educator and has served as an adjunct professor with Drexel University’s LeBow College, Jefferson University’s College for Professional Studies, and Temple University’s Klein College of Media and Communication in the disciplines of sociology, workplace culture, leadership, communication, and organizational development.
